Shailendra Dandge Dr.

M.B.B.S. , M.D in Pharmacology. Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology at MediCiti Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. He has been trained at several leading Universities in the United States, including Emory University, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Shailendra has also been trained extensively in research at several distinguished centres in India, including Centre for Chronic Disease Control, New Delhi and the South Asia Cochrane collaboration Centre at Manipal University. He is a trained medical educationist with advanced training in Medical Education from Medical Council of India. He is actively engaged in mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in academics and research. He is currently leading a large community based telemedicine study with focus on early detection and long term management of hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Shailendra is also principal investigator of a large study funded by BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council, India) to estimate sero-prevalence and incidence of COVID-19, Dengue and Chikungunya in the short term, and build capacity for conducting clinical trials for vaccines in the long term.
